CFosSpeed news policy Because reaching people via mail becomes more and more difficult and the social networks become more and more widespread, we decided to use Twitter as our short time news service. If there is something new, for example a new cFosSpeed beta version, we will post that on Twitter. At the most we will post only a few times per week. Therefore if you don't already have a Twitter account, please create one and follow to get the latest news. You can then conveniently let the check for our news on Twitter. We also implemented a news notification in cFosSpeed. When there are very important news available (only a few times per year), like new cFosSpeed release versions, we will update the cFosSpeed news page.

June 29th, 2016 Bug fix Fixed bug in expandrwin feature for IPv6 against servers that don't support window scaling. Many thanks to Thomas Adamczyk for his help. DNS queries reduced DNS names are not stored if the query returns an error. This should reduce periodic DNS queries quite a bit.
September 12th, 2015 Added Ping Statistics cFosSpeed can now display a history of the ping times of the last 5 minutes. This feature is especially useful for gamers who want to diagnose the cause of lag. After a lag experience, you can now conveniently open the ping statistics graph and determine if the lag came from your end of the line or at a remote location, like the game server or some router in between. Added support for UPnP capable routers cFosSpeed can now determine the line speed and the maximum line speed by querying the gateway (router) to the Internet. It supports the functionionality of the UPnP Forum's Internet Gateway Device specification as well as the specification of the DSL Forum.
So both types of UPnP routers can help to speed up the line calibration in cFosSpeed. We therefore recommend users turn on UPnP in their routers. Extended until January 28th - Thanks to your overwhelming support! October 31st, 2012 How about using cFosSpeed to produce.lag. for a change? This can be easily accomplished with the cFosSpeed class delay management, a feature which is normally used to improve prioritization of the different data streams. Copy both batch files and into your cFosSpeed installation directory (where spd.exe is located). Then you can increase the delay by 200 msec by running lag.bat.
You can reverse the effect by running nolag.bat. Happy Halloween! One technical note: When increasing the lag you will notice that line speed is not the only important factor.
Surfing the web etc. Can also become slow if the delay is too high.

I have tried other internet accelerators in the past, and they either attempt to tweak internet settings I already have optimized, or they hide under the term internet accelerator and really try to optimize my entire OS. CFosSpeed is the first piece of software that actually does what it says, and does it in a unique way that is unparalleled by other programs claiming to do the same thing. Before installing this program I literally could not play slot games via the internet (Facebook).
They were too choppy, and took forever to load. Post install, I can play these games with at least a 50% decreased load time, and the reels spin smoothly without lag. The same applies for numerous webpages loading, and video viewing. The whole program seemed a tad overwhelming and kiddywampus to me at first, but now that I understand it, it's really quite simple. When the software is first installed the manufacturer's website pops-up prompting a free upgrade to the latest version, and supplies numerous pages describing how the software functions - which had me very confused by the time I was finished reading it all. It took me about a week of running it before I finally 'got it', but thankfully it didn't wait for me to figure it out before it began speeding-up my internet.
To simplify how this program works: I am not sure how increased or decreased pinging affects internet speeds, but that is what this program essentially does. It optimizes pinging for increased internet speed. A small, movable box is visible at all times while surfing the web. It displays varied current speed readings. It also has an up and down arrow, which enables pinging to either be increased or decreased. When the program is first installed 'traffic shaping' takes place to optimize the program according to the system it's on, and current settings. After that is set, pings can be increased or decreased.
I've found that increased pings speeds my internet up considerably; however, this varies by system. I am so thankful I found this program. It literally is one of the best software purchases I have ever made - hands-down. If you are looking for a program to truly speed-up your internet, cFosSpeed is by far the most premium software tool on the market that actually does what it says - speeds up the internet.
